People come to therapy for many different reasons, and there is no need to have everything figured out before reaching out. You may be struggling with a particular issue, facing a difficult life transition, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right. Alongside my general counselling practice, I have a particular interest in the areas below. Whatever you're bringing, I aim to offer a warm, accepting, and thoughtful space where we can make sense of your experiences together.

Neurodiversity

I offer a compassionate and accepting space for adults who experience the world differently. Together, we can explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgement, helping you understand yourself more deeply, recognise your strengths, and move towards a way of living that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Addiction

Many people turn to substances or certain behaviours as a way of coping. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, understand what lies beneath them, and work towards meaningful, lasting change.

Life Transitions

Whether you're facing changes in work, relationships, family life, or your sense of self, I offer a warm and supportive space to help you make sense of what's happening and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Chronic Ilnesses

Living with a chronic illness can bring grief, uncertainty, and a sense of being misunderstood. I offer a warm and accepting space where we can explore the impact these conditions have on your life, relationships, and sense of self, and find ways of living that feel both meaningful and compassionate towards yourself.

Common Questions

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

We begin with a gentle exploration of your current life circumstances and goals. This is a safe space to share what you're facing without judgment, allowing us to build a foundation for our work together.

How often should I attend therapy?

We can agree this between us before we start working together. Some people are limited by time and may want to limit our work to x number of sessions, or we can work in an open-ended way. Typically clients will attend sessions on the same day and time each week, unless one of us has a holiday.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of our practice. We adhere to strict professional standards to ensure your privacy and the security of your personal information.

What is the difference between psychotherapy and counselling?

While both involve talking, psychotherapy often focuses on deep-seated emotional patterns and long-term personal growth, whereas counselling tends to be more focused on specific life challenges or transitions.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, we provide flexible options for virtual sessions to accommodate your schedule and location, ensuring you can access support from anywhere.
